ESSA Funded Programs
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was signed into law in December of 2015, replacing the 50-year-old Elementary and Secondary Education Act. ESSA retains many of the core provisions of the previous act related to standards, assessments, accountabilty, and use of Federal funds.
ESSA includes a wide array of grant programs that are designed to help to ensure success for students and schools. Funded programs provide schools and districts with resources focused on meeting the needs of students, parents and families, teachers, and school leaders.
Romulus currently participates in the following ESSA-funded programs:
Title I, Part A: Improving Basic Programming
Title II, Part A: Supporting Effective Instruction
Title IV, Part A: Student Support and Academic Enrichment
