Superintendent

Dear Romulus Central School District Families, Students, Staff, and Community Members,

I am incredibly honored and excited to introduce myself as your new Superintendent. My name is Mrs. Jenn Hayden, and I am thrilled to join the Romulus Royal family. I have received a warm welcome, and I am deeply grateful for the kindness and support shown to me.

My journey in education has been diverse and fulfilling. I have had the privilege of serving as a reading teacher, an elementary teacher in grades 1, 3, 4, and 5, a Middle School Assistant Principal, an Elementary Principal, and most recently, as an Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Each role has enriched my understanding of the educational landscape, and I am eager to bring my experience and passion for learning to the Romulus Central School District.

One of the joys of this new role is the opportunity to meet and collaborate with our wonderful staff, students, and their families. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, understanding your perspectives, and working together to create an exceptional educational environment for our students. Building strong relationships within our school community is a top priority for me, and I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you.

I would also like to introduce you to a special member of our team, my dog, Dory, who works as a certified therapy dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Dory has already made herself comfortable in the office and is looking forward to spreading joy and comfort to everyone she meets. Her presence is a reminder of our commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for our students and staff.

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are in the process of hiring new teachers, a principal, and an athletic director. I understand that these transitions are significant, and I want to assure you that we are dedicated to finding the best candidates to lead and support our students. In the coming month, families will receive communication about the hiring process for our new principal. Your input and involvement in this process are invaluable, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.

I am also pleased to announce that the Romulus Central School District will be providing school supplies to all students for the 2024-2025 school year. This initiative is part of our commitment to ensuring that every student has the resources they need to succeed. We believe that removing barriers to education is essential, and we are excited to support our students in this meaningful way.
