Greeting from the Superintendent

Welcome to the 2023/2024 School Year  From all of us at RCS, we are excited for the start of a new year. Like the changing of the seasons, each school year brings new opportunities for growth as we all learn together.

Our teachers and administrators have been working during the summer to prepare and improve our school programs. Our non-instructional staff continue to work preparing and improving our building to be ready for students on September 5th. Our Board of Education hasn't missed a beat working on finances, policy revisions, and our upcoming capital improvement project set to begin in June of 2024. Together as a community, we have been engaging in discussions to make our school a place where every student can be seen, heard, and understood.

Here is some news from a newly formed group at RCS. Our Mascot Committee has been working over the summer to collect suggestions and make selections towards a new mascot and logo to represent Romulus Central School. I am very proud of the teamwork the committee has exercised in their work so far. By the end of the summer, the group will narrow the suggestions from our community down to a short list of finalists. When our students return to school in September, they will vote to determine our new mascot. Look for an announcement revealing our new mascot the last week of September during Homecoming.

I am proud to see the support and investment our staff & community make in our school. As we look forward to this year and many more ahead, we value these partnerships as the core of what makes RCS such a wonderful experience for students. Our motto remains “Children First, Learning Always”.  Each year we learn and grow to make RCS better. May the excitement of a new year be with all of you!
