Romulus CSD is proud to announce that Mrs. Cristi Pesco has been appointed as the new Secondary Principal for grades 6-12. Mrs. Pesco brings nearly two decades of experience as a dedicated educator and student-focused leader, and we are excited to welcome her to our Royal family.

 
Mrs. Pesco has served in a variety of educational roles, including High School English teacher, Department Chair, Academic Dean, Behavior Prevention Coordinator, and most recently, Assistant Principal for Elmira Heights CSD. She has a proven track record of leading with compassion, clarity, and commitment to student success. Her work has included building restorative practices, strengthening student supports through PBIS and MTSS frameworks, and improving district-wide systems such as the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) procedures and new teacher mentorship programs.

When asked about her vision, Mrs. Pesco shared:
“Foundational to a positive and effective school culture are relationships. Students, faculty, staff, and families are more likely to engage with schools positively when they feel a sense of trust and belonging. Every student matters and every student deserves a high-quality education, however not all students are able to take the same path. As an administrator, and as part of a team of educators, it is my goal to foster a safe, consistent, and welcoming environment for all students and families.”
 
With a passion for instructional leadership and a deep belief in the power of Professional Learning Communities, Mrs. Pesco is excited to begin collaborating with students, staff, and families to support a thriving secondary school environment where all Royals are challenged to achieve excellence.
